Two other baseball movies deserve mention. Overall, "Cobb" was not a very good movie, but Tommy Lee Jones was perfect in the title role. And while technically not a baseball movie, you have to include, "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! " starring the fabulous Enrico Palazzo, and featuring the Mayor. whose double take is the greatest ever filmed. There was also a spate of great baseball movies in the ten years following World War II, including "The Babe Ruth Story", :"It Happens Every Spring", The original "Angels in the Outfield", "Rhubarb", "Kill the Umpire", "The Winning Team," "The Pride of St. Louis," "Fear Strikes Out," "The Stratton Story," and "Strategic Air Command,"

70s movie, The Bad News Bears is my favorite baseball movie.

Field of dreams mixed baseball with the longing of a son to have a better relationship with his dad.....I like this movie so much that I did a scene from it in my acting class and the girl I did the scene with has been in some sitcoms. And it is Arnold schwarzenegger favorite movie cause it makes him think about his dad.
