On the evening of April 28, 2020, the town of Marlow in Stephens County, Oklahoma, fell victim to a disastrous severe thunderstorm, as the town was pummeled by copious amounts of golf ball+ sized hail stones. Many stones observed exceeded 3 inches! Storm chasers David Demko and Heidi Farrar followed the storm along HWY 81 from the town of Chickasha to Duncan. Though efforts were made to maintain some distance behind the worst of the storm’s core, baseball-sized stones were still encountered; somehow, they managed to avoid losing any glass in the vehicle-but only by luck!
