Me and my friends created a team of all of our friends, family and coworkers on it, and built it up to where we were going undefeated in every game, We spent soooooo many nights after work until dawn the next day playing this game. This was and still is my favorite NES Sports game.

It was one of the first NES games to have a the opportunity to SAVE YOUR GAME,The method of upgrading players is a very interesting one.

I used to buy the power ups (1 to 6 units) and restart if I didn't receive a 5 or 6 so it wouldn't save. It haunts me to this day.

I still have a fully functional NES and a fully operational Baseball Stars cart including the battery save that records all of your data. Every year I pull out the old system and hook up everything to make sure it still works. Sure enough, all of my games including the ones with battery saves still work.

World Powers were the best team. I always liked playing against the Lovely Ladies. They had like 2 hitters that could actually hit it out of the infield.

+Drago Slav Me too. But I would get so mad, because my data would be erased one in a while.
@Kathayne6368 жыл бұрын
Yep, on my street we'd set up 8 player leagues and spend hours setting up the names and players and teams. We'd spend days or weeks playing the games out and then ultimately all the data would erase and we'd have to start all over again. We never were able to finish a single league, yet we played all the time.
@ritcusreyni4 жыл бұрын
@@Kathayne636 I only saw a legitimate data erasure from corruption once. It deleted both teams my friend and I were building to play against each other with. Cubs v Mets. After that, whenever my friend would borrow my game to build his team, every time he returned the cartridge the data had mysteriously corrupted again and erased my team, and only my team. I believed him too.

can anyone help me out here?? Ok so how the heck can I hold my players from taking off after every little hit? I don't even like to have bases loaded because it's a guaranteed double play if the ball doesn't get out of the infield... unless I'm just really doing something wrong. I have to manually make EVERY single player go back to his base one at a time... is that the way it's supposed to be? Because by the time I get to my 2nd or 3rd player he's already halfway down the dang baseline.
@edwardnygma23007 жыл бұрын
Did you figure shit out? I played this when I was a kid. I don't think you can hold runners on or not. You can hold the ball, throw, or run toward the base. This game sucked looking back btw lol.
@ritcusreyni4 жыл бұрын
Haven't played in years, but for some reason I want to say pressing "Down + A" made the base runners all stop in their tracks. Wish I could confirm it, but I don't have a working copy any longer.

How can I play this game today? Other than keeping an NES around and finding a cartridge?
@minnesotajack15 жыл бұрын
Enigmalake Yes. I have an NES Classic and I just paid a guy to hack it and put all the games on. There are a ton of KZbin videos on how to do it too. Worked like a charm. I love this game. Soooo advanced for its time. You can name your own players and random chance power up points. Keeps stats...
@stevekalis1395 жыл бұрын
You could find one of those aftermarket yobo systems but I think you’d still have to have the original cartridge game though
