DETAILS: thecivilrightslawyer.com/2024/11/27/based-grand-jury-indicts-the-cop-instead-arrested-trying-to-save-his-home-from-fire/ In the small town of Leitchfield, Kentucky, something amazing happened. A man's house caught on fire ("far") and emergency responders showed up. Instead of the fire department, the police department was first on the scene. Instead of helping in some constructive way, they ordered the homeowners, who were attempting to put out the fire, out of the house. When they refused, the officers beat and tased them. Then, when the government put the case before a grand jury, in an attempt to indict the homeowner, the grand jury said no, and instead indicted the police officer. The officer's lawyer said he'd never heard of that happening before...

It is. They are they to control people, bystanders, help special agents to safe a possible crime scene (insurance scam), give first aid, evacuate the house. That's in no way saying the officers were doing a good job. But you only need to inhale a cloud of black smoke and you are unconscious. Police and fire fighters work so much harder and better in Germany and most of Europe. They are seen as helpers and friends instead of "storm troopers". They lack a proper training of several years. Most police officers in Germany don't simply pass. Many even go to university before going to a police training school with further curriculums and training. Police here would have deescalated the scene as fast as possible since nobody wants to lose their house to a fire. Germany has a long, almost non-narrated series of fire fighters and how they work. These videos from the US often look like kids trying to play police and fire fighters. How can you be the corrupt and threatening someone to bring him to jail while his belongings burn down? G. OP will strengthen and encourage this behavior of police officers as it's laid out in their plan. I'm just worrying from the other side of the Atlantic.

Stopping someone from putting out their own house fire, then sending the person to jail for it while their home burns These guys have reached a whole new low I didn’t even think possible for them
@Clem68W16 күн бұрын
As witnessed in the video, the fire was out before the cops beat the shit out of him. He went in the final time to put the fire out. It's why he had a garden hose in his hands. Minor point, but the idea the house was still on fire is a red herring.

They ought to sue that news agency that defamed them with that false news story.

The news agency was only reporting what the cops told them. They may have been negligent, but it would be hard to prove malice.

@@Leonard-cx2zi Taking what the cops say at face values, after all we’ve seen from them, I’d call that reckless disregard for the truth and not asking for a dissenting comment from Lanny/attorney.

News agency just reported what the cops told them. What news agency should be in trouble for is not correcting the story when the truth came out!
