This is actually one of the best home/DJ shows I've seen in a while. Good placement and great timing!

Very nice, back in the day I started out as a light engineer, (I controlled/maintained the lights in the club). A lot of people don't realize that the DJ just plays music and its usually another person working the lights and programming the DMX controller. Now we have DMX operators, computers and DJ-Co pilots etc. Good on ya mate!

Classic example of thinking the whole thing through to the end. For the equipment you used it really couldn’t be better. Thanks and congrats

Great way to show that you can put on an awesome show with pretty much all incandescent lights. Great video
@bsntechdotcom13 жыл бұрын
@notreallyfamous The Chauvet Intimidators were controlled simply with an on/off blackout controller. The other lights were all connected to an 8-channel relay pack - that is then connected to the 8-channel controller with on/off switches and momentary on/off buttons.
@feelsgoodnow13 жыл бұрын
very well done. I love that you did it without any programing.
@bsntechdotcom13 жыл бұрын
@DasBohSchitt The lights are all "daisy-chained" together using DMX cables. The master light then is connected to a simple blackout controller.
@deke2813 жыл бұрын
Nice show man. I can tell that took a while to program. Nice work !
@bsntechdotcom12 жыл бұрын
just a blackout controller is used for the intelligent lights - and all the others are hooked to an eight-channel American DJ 8FC controller.

@dadspayments Pretty happy with the setup - but I do have room for one more light. Don't know what happened, but the American DJ Orbit light won't work now (just got it too). Changed out the fuse and that didn't fix it. Ensured power is running through the fuse by testing the wires - so that means it is probably the transformer. Anyways, the music is Kaci Battaglia - Body Shots and the mix is the Dave Aude Club Mix.

Wow haha, that is freaking awesome tho. Nice hand work there, pretty precise. I have 2 Revo Raves and the vertigo. Really want some of those gobo lights like yours. I do the same also except i use ADJ UC3 Controller to control my lights Wireless. Awesome set up tho!
@bsntechdotcom14 жыл бұрын
@LCPanthers3 All done by hand. I have an eight-channel light controller (SFC-8C) system. It was a matter of keeping up with the music and pushing the buttons for the lights at the right time. You can see in some areas where I messed up a bit.
@imcubix11 жыл бұрын
This is amazing... can you make a tutorial on how to do this please? I've always wanted to save up money to buy these kind of light setups and program similar routines to them.

AT LAST! a well recorded lighting show. I search for popular discotheque's intro but all I get are bad recordings. I wonder what are the key words to find 'officialy made' videos about Disco's intro and show. Thanks everybody in advance

I've seen countless kits that are much more expensive, and that plainly sucked because nothing went along the music. You've got good skills, very well done!

@byrondess For the four Chauvet Intimidator lights, I have a simple controller that has two buttons on it. The controller is a small black square box with two green buttons on it. The top green button controls blackout. The second green button controls fast or slow scan mode. For all of the other lights, they are hooked to an eight-channel relay controller - like the SC-8 system.
@bsntechdotcom13 жыл бұрын
@Alexstar1250 I just purchased them through a combination of different places. The only light I paid retail for was the Chauvet LX5.
@bsntechdotcom13 жыл бұрын
@deke28 Actually - I didn't do any kind of programming at all. I just sat at the 'control board' which has eight switches to turn lights on and off - and worked them with the music.
@cip36612 жыл бұрын
nice job bro...i like your lights..i wish you would show us how you put them together ..
@bsntechdotcom13 жыл бұрын
@facu221186 Not using any kind of DMX control board at all. I simply have a controller that has on/off switches for each light - and that is what was used.a

I have a question and i would appreciate it if anyone could answer me... I just bought 2 intimidator spot 350s and i have an obey 40. I am thinking in the future on how im gonna go about programming them. Would it be better to put them both on the same address and make them do the exact same thing in the scenes or put like one on 1 and the other on channel 17 and make it do something else compared to the first one. Note that these are gonna be used for mobile parties and not in clubs.
@bsntechdotcom14 жыл бұрын
@cookie35n The lights are pretty good for a mobile DJ in my opinion. While they do have the colors and gobos on one wheel (meaning the gobos are set colors that cannot be changed), they still work well and can be hooked to a DMX controller to be programmed, can run in stand alone mode, or can be linked up with a blackout controller so they will all run in master/slave mode.

They are not programmed - but I did sit in front of a light switch to turn the lights on and off manually. I did the song probably three times before doing the video - so it took some time. Definitely wasn't impromptu.

What are you using to turn the lights on and off?
@bsntechdotcom9 жыл бұрын
+Beyond Rescue All of the lights are connected to a power controller. It has an eight-panel switching board that has on/off or push buttons to turn the lights on or off. There is then a serial cable that runs to an actual power pack that is mounted by the lights with eight outlets to plug the lights in. The switching panel then sends the on/off signals to the power pack using the serial cable. For the Chauvet Intimidator lights, there is just a simple on/off push button controller.
@LukeDrummer1009 жыл бұрын
+bsntechdotcom you should do a video showing all of your equipment one by one.
@bsntechdotcom9 жыл бұрын
+Beyond Rescue Not possible unfortunately. I sold all of the stuff a few years ago. I used to have a mobile DJ business many years ago and sorta had a flashback year where I bought a bunch of lights for the basement. Then they sat.. and never got used. So they were sold.
