The thing I like the most is that they incorporated an additional excerpt from the original material (that is, Airto's Samba de Flora), along with their own additions as well, giving more depth to the track. Same goes for their rendition of Hey You, and the excerpt from Fanfare Ciocarlia's Asfalt Tango. I can't have enough of this! "Amor que muere va renaciendo en una flor"

The Dutch are amazing people. A Brazilian speaking here. This work shows not only that they understand the samba thing, its possibilities, its details and its limits, but that, in this regard, they are doing what the Brazilians did with Western music, especially with that of the European impressionists and American music - cannibalism! They digested the information from the other culture and returned it to the world with new elements added, enriched. Extraordinary orchestral work. I have never heard anything that comes close to it, neither in Brazil nor elsewhere. The chorus was a find - popular samba is often accompanied by a hubbub of voices, singing or talking, or shouting. Absolute chapeau!
