Are you daring enough to drive on this road to #Basho_Valley?
Yes, you should.. else you are gonna miss the real adventure and jeep safari on this deadly road full of beautiful and mesmerizing views of nature.
Approximately, after one and a half drive from #Skardu towards Gilgit, you will see a bridge crossing at Indus river on the left side of road. Give it a try to walk on the bridge and you'll really enjoy walking in a swinging motion.
Basho valley starts right after the bridge but its a long forest. 45 min drive after crossing the bridge will take you to the open space rather beautiful and breath taking valley with forest of pine trees, river flowing amid valley, peaceful silence and awesome weather. In fact you'll find nature at its best.
I would say, this is one of the finest places on earth, not explored well by people as I didn't see detailed vlog on it. The road leading to the valley is deadliest and reminded me of the dangerous fairy meadows track but offers heavenly views to its viewers.
There is a camping site up there besides the river named Basho river ideal for an evening with cooking and fun experience.
Remember, it doesn't matter how long and difficult is the travel as long as every turn of the journey gives a feel of destination.

Yes. Fairy meadows is no more a meadow due to hotels. Its now a business hub of the local community. Basho valley is free of this kind of human evasion on beautiful valleys. I wish it remain the same, peaceful, clean and fine.

Don’t scare the people with the road conditions please!!! I’ve visited Basho Valley last month (April 2023), on my Toyota Surf 2700cc not even a 4x4 with 3 adults, 3 kids and an infant. And I am just a 4 year old driver!! Not a haddi toor safar at all if you drive your own vehicle at your own pace. The jeep vendors don’t care about the comfort because they’ll earn more if they make the round trip quicker. It’s just the local drivers gimmick to scare the private vehicles owners so they can earn more. I found some really inexperienced local drivers there with 0 sense of driving but with a ton of careless attitude. I strongly advise everyone with a good ground clearance vehicle to visit this place on their own vehicle. The only technical part is to cross the vehicle coming from another direction and even that isn’t impossible! Just patience and proper driving skills will get you through. I drove approx 7000kms, solo driving in 15 days. From Karachi till Basho with family. One of the best adventure of our lives…
