Shame so many of our black kings are not doing so well. They all turn to the roads, whilst other ethnic minorities seem to work much harder in school. I wish our black king dads would also stick around. All my friends dads are no where to be seen. I find myself and my other black brothers eating fried chicken and chips and leaving the bones and boxes on the seats. I wish I was raised better and stopped playing the race card all the time. One day it will be better I’m sure.

4Real unfortunately I got caught up and spent a decade n a half sitting down. The bar about glad he never caught him though that's real shit. I know man that have been in HMP since they were teens. Now they been locked longer than they was alive before they got caged, 😢sad life. I'm blessed I got the chance to turn my life around, next year I've been out 10 years and i’ll be finishing my degree same year🙌🏾 Funny thing is I went back to the nerd, quiet book reading poetry guy I was before road took me. I stopped being scared and wanting to fit in and just became who I always was. You know before I put the bad man mask on. More youth need to embrace being themselves & forget the badness because they don't wanna be the guy/gyal buried alive in HMP or the reason ya parents cry cuz someone took you from the earth. Sorry for the rant have a blessed day/life ✌️🏾🫶🏾👊🏾

I dont care what anyone says this is UK rap classic. I'm 30 next week, Me and my friends from back home have used bashy quotes to greet each other for 15 years now.. From getting in trouble with the police as a kid, coming back from Afghanistan for the first time, my wedding and my mates meeting my kids for the first time......... " Demon!, demon wants to be man!" As trivial as that shit it is. It 's a good metaphor for how certain UK artists are in the background of so much of our lives. What a legend

It feels like Bashy is telling my story of me growing up. Both of my parents were around I was raised well, but when I was outside and you’re around different influences things change and at that time reputation matters it was easy to sucked in to negativity that looked cool. So when you see youngsters doing badness it’s not always the parents fault. It’s too easy to blame them.
