Some instrumentation amps that I recommend: INA118P or the AD623

Thank you. I can probably work from the board in the video or do it from scratch now that you’ve proved it works, but a diagram would be a great reference (you don’t need to share it though). Idk how dm’s work. I had a project idea yesterday and I feel like your video is a key step in making the equipment cheaply. I have an arduino and motors to test this with. If my design is the same as yours, I’ll mention your name, but chances are I’ll make something different and use an AI to filter noise, as I have a feeling that the maximum amplitude might be shown by noise (I’ve done no testing yet)

I tried another method to test EMG circuit. I used INA126P(differential amplifier) However, Amplifier does not operate because EMG signal magnitude is very small. Can you comment about this ?? And what is the amplifier you used ?? Please, help ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

this is absolutely amazing! would it be possible to make this device but a lot smaller? around the size of a watch?

I like the small size of it all, vdry portable! Im thinking about doing a exoskeleton as a senior project, what i was wondering is how much the total cost of the sensors and circuit is? I have a slightly limited budget. I wouod truly appreciate if you could respond! Isac

For your bandpass filter , what type of active filter did you use? i.e. butterworth , sallen key? What op-amps are you using for filtering? Grat video
@jpdieffe7 жыл бұрын
I used a sallen key filter. and I'm pretty sure that the op amps are OPA1013

How do you get rid of lag? I see many projects with people controlling a robotic hand using EMGs and Arduino, but it takes almost a second for the hand to respond to their movements.
@chrisdonnell72002 жыл бұрын
The lag is 90% processing, Arduino Unos and other standard microcontrollers are pretty slow. A simple hardware upgrade will fix the delay.
@wastingyourtime14789 ай бұрын
I have an ultrasonic distance sensor that has no lag. If the output signal is a value that is fed into the input without processing, there should be next to no lag. I haven’t delved this deep in practice yet. Would the air, clothing or wire distortions change the signal too?@@chrisdonnell7200

Hi iam working on the same project but is there a chance to control the fingers using this technique and also, which microcontroller would you prefer.
@jpdieffe6 жыл бұрын
I've seen people do this for fingers, you'll have to Google around for electrode placement. Microcontroller depends on your familiarity. I've started really liking the bgm121 from SI Labs.

how can I know that how much voltage is generated. by using multi meter in order to set resistance for opamps
@jpdieffe11 жыл бұрын
It's pretty inexpensive, I can't imagine the total cost of components would be greater than $15. I used a MAX1044 so I could run off a single battery (e.g. It gives you +9v and -9v from a +9v supply). If you can afford it, get some OPA1013 op-amps. But any ol' op-amp will work
