Yo Bully..!! I'm 54 learning my bass guitars, I got a Ibanez sr400 dragon eye burst, and a GSR beginners bass both are 4 strings But I put some marcus Miller bass strings on my sr400 THE FUNK NEVER SOUNDED SO GREAT! ITS DEFINITELY ON THE 1# LOLOLOL I'm hittin you up all the way from PHILLY..

I could tell you love the bass. I do too. Ive been playing for over 30 yrs and just learned to incorporate ghost or dead noted in my playing and I love it to death! Its brought my playing to a whole new level. It makes the bass sound beautiful when playing near the bridge pick up on my fretless jazz bass. Nice video thanks!

For variation or if the trill is too difficult, a triplet going 7b, 7, 8 sounds pretty dope as well. Nice did and nice ghost notes. Puttin stank on it!

That spicy B flat on the G string is the minor third of G ... when Kid slides it up to the B, that's the major third. That's a VERY cool way of dancing between minor/major and is super FUNKY! Thanks Kid. ? for you ... what is that bass? It's super cool! Couldn't quite make out the name on the headstock though. Cheers.

ibanez tmb310! they stopped making that particular model, but i play a tmb30 shorty and they are really amazing instruments, and for the price essentially unbeatable

@Bully really nice two parts of playing, i wish i was that virtuous. You're leaving a vital part out, though which in my honest opinion is crucial in Funk, possible in music alltogether. You got to know when to NOT play a note. Funk allows you to go back to just the drum; add that coolness that makes it so unique. I believe is actually the absense of a note, which is the secret. Perhaps in your part 3 you can elaborate ?

@@BullyThaKidd I dont speak music, I learned by tab and by ear. I appreciate you showing your work sir. I noticed a lot of repeating patterns and used things I later learned were scales like the pentatonic. Maybe it's time to learn some theory lol.

I love this video, another idea if you want more things to make would be funky beats/backing tracks that subscribers could play along to! Your off the cuff basslines that you play over are a 12 out of 10, and would be awesome if we could loop them!
