Dr. Danny ~ you say that Le soir = the afternoon And Bonsoir = good afternoon. BUT Le soir = the evening Bonsoir = good evening. ~~~~ Bonjour = good day said in the morning or the afternoon (until it starts to get dark). It this means “good morning” or “good afternoon” depending on the time of day. Bonjour breaks down to bon jour
