Flash Heal being an instant cast that doesn't interrupt your weapon combo is a huge part of my soloing rotation on Cleric! If you cast any other spells it resets your weapon rotation, which delays your finishers and deadly finishers, but you can Flash Heal to finish a weapon cycle then refresh your HoTs before doing another cycle.

Thanks for pointing this out!! Yes one thing I’ve noticed is I forgot to explain what breaks deadly weapon cycles! Well pointed out and thanks for taking the time to comment it! I’m completely obsessed with the rotation clerics have and I’m frothing to see what comes with the secondary class system too!!

You changed my mind about Divine Infusion over Essence Infusion. Now that more of my kit is online at level 18, it's insanely useful for finishing casts compared to conserving mana. It's a great way to pop Communal Restoration on your entire group quickly too!
@BlandPickle10 күн бұрын
Yeah in my mind, why bother with a full mana bar if casting your primary heal/damage takes 3 seconds compared to 1. Essence is good for group play to reduce mana dependency on a bard, but heal/damage speed > than mana management. If you have a bard, if you have blessed weapon w mana passive, if you have refreshing follow through and inner fire, mana should be manageable. Solo play its a bit more decisive: do I want max damage with faster casting vs managing mana due to damage dumping - harder decision but I think dps trumps mana because more xp efficient as you move through mobs faster. It’s a balancing act but depends on play style and focus. Glad you enjoyed the video :)

If you ran wand or spell book for your range slot you could apply burning with their finishers
@BlandPickle9 күн бұрын
Yes but blessed weapon also gives you burn so running bow works too :)

Absolutely loving Cleric, level 16.5 right now, and being able to solo groups of enemies at my level or higher has made the grind so much more enjoyable, not to mention, being able to just hop from group to group without needing to rest for mana or health is the best thing ever. The comboing and aoe damage is super satisfying as well. Can't wait to hit 25!

The difference just a little bit of balance makes has relevant impact on gameplay. In AoC 50% of your damage and resilience comes from you amour. Which means the other 50% is coming from something else; ie your weapon, weapon passives, skills and their passives and your base stats likely make up the rest. Glad it inspired you!!

Nice! may I ask why you prefer healing touch over the others? I quite like judgement and Smite xD althought I would like them to update it to Divine Judgement :D

Short spellbow w bleed + blessed weapon for solo and change to a spellsword for AoE if you pull more mobs together, maintain the HoTs on yourself and its easy... i kinda feel like cleric is either overtuned or the other classes lack a little sustain. For group play i switch to long spellbow for more healing but thats about it
@BlandPickle15 күн бұрын
Cleric is super over tuned, effective HP is through the roof esp with Judgement. Conditionally speaking blessed weapon w/ smite and condemn works well after chain procs to give longer stun time. Using extended disable passives on one of your weapon trees helps a lot too! Guess it’s just down to play style and mana management as well!! Thanks for checking out my video :)

@ I genuinely feel bad for my friends in game, they can barely kill a few mobs without a cleric while I easily level by myself when nobody else is online
@BlandPickle15 күн бұрын
@@marcellsipter7651 I hear you, I'm a solo player mostly, so I don't really see it, but when I was playing mage in phase 1, levelling solo felt bad because I was either sitting down after one pull to heal or getting mana back which kinda broke the solo levelling experience for me. Cleric is a really good toon to play solo. I think tanks and fighters sustain well solo, but yeah squishier classes like mage and bard would be having a rough time :(

Does Divine Infusion still work the same way? I can't get it to work currently, there's no bar next to the player health bar to track Divine Power. The skill never lights up to reduce cast time on anything else.
@BlandPickle19 күн бұрын
Have you got it selected over Divine Essence in your skill tree? You need to have it selected and on your action bar. Check those things, and if it's still a problem, I would recommend submitting a bug report for it :)

@@BlandPickle I figured out why it wouldn’t work, I had to exit out of the game and run repair. Once I got back in it started to work. The Divine Power shows up on the class Icon by filling up the border. Definitely a great spec, the insta cast is awesome! Thanks!

I want to love my cleric but I’m holding back until I see what it looks like as a Templar 🤔 Will the fighter archetype augments be enough to make a better melee dps/support? Or, what I suspect, is that while the game will offer 64* “classes” by lvl 25, only half of those will actually be legitimate while the other half are essentially meme specs 😢
@BlandPickle18 күн бұрын
Yeah this has me curious and I was speaking on it during a recent stream. Until we know what second class really means it’s hard to say. My hope is it’s a hard augment and two classes get mashed into one. I’ll probably end up being an oracle (Mage + Cleric) or an Acolyte (cleric + mage ) given how much I like the mage and cleric in this game. Thing is I have no idea how different the above two will be, what aspects of the cleric and mage will be different between the roles and how that will affect gameplay. I’m very curious to see when we’ll find out more about secondary classes and how they augment together. I do hold worry that the 64 class pitch may fall flat on many of them, but AoC combat system has had me super impressed so I’m overly happy to be wrong here. All in all I think the potential is there so I’m hoping they do it right.
@Bman2464118 күн бұрын
@@BlandPickle i imagine the biggest difference would be the primary archtypes' resource, right? So you'd have to decide if you want Divine Power or Elemental whatever-it's-called. That elemental passive gameplay is hard to ignore. It's so fun to augment your auto attacks with that extra power
@BlandPickle18 күн бұрын
Yeah exactly! Divine power is a hard one to pass up, insta casting skills as a mage would be dumb strong! Even without the synergy for something like shatter you can still help your team set it up so yeah I think you’re right in that it’s down to that decision.

damn, ive played my cleric like a paladin :(
@BlandPickle13 күн бұрын
If that works for you it’s fine, there’s just an opportunity to do more damage with the right configurations :) for solo play maximising the little dps we get is super important to make leveling much easier. Hope my tutorial helped. I do have a video coming out soon explaining how damage in the game works to help people improve their decision around gear so that may also be valuable to you :) regardless play the class how you like best 👍👍

Your build shows you are def more solo player than in a organized group, otherwise nice vid. But you will see when ur 20+ in a dung fighting 3+ star mobs that ur dmg is that much lower compared to your dps that its better to just full scale into support and then just focus on your team, specially bcs when someone makes a mistake and maybe pulls 2-3 extra mobs then that 1s that it takes for you to stop attacking to start healing can be too late so you want to be pre channeling heals on your tank and saving ur flash cure to save someone else if they get aggroed but yeh nice video tho
@BlandPickle12 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yeah so group play wise most everything gets focused into managing healing, team errors (as per your suggested scenario) and pre-casting for anticipated damage. I’ll likely pull a video together soon to talk about the difference so I appreciate the input toward that. This video serves as a cleric basic kit - but I’m inspired to go into more detail so thanks for the comment :)
