Honestly I want to thank you for the videos, I have practiced many of the things you show, some are easy others difficult but I can always go back to your video and see what I am doing wrong if needed. Thank you, who know the impact you sharing your knowledge may have one day, you are amazing and a great teacher.

I have not been able to get my hands to corporate yet. They both go down and away, down and back. LOL. Yep got a lot more practice to do. Hope everything works out in your favor. Thank you for this thumbs up video that I'm going to watch quite a few more times and try to get it right. LOL.

I used mule fat spindle and sycamore fire board when I got my first ember with this style. My hands were bleeding. The training I had received had been that you had to get that ember into the bundle really fast or you would loose it but I was surprised by the fact that it continued for at least three minutes before consuming all the powder. No rush. I like your easy going manner about it. I will try it again soon. I have used the floating hand method to drill holes in wood with a screw driver which seems to be a good way to practice if one has no spindle available. Thanks for the info.

I've been a long-time subscriber of yours, but yet I've never commented. Just yesterday I watched your Get Home Bag video, and I'm wondering now that since you've relocated, would you ever consider doing an updated version since you're now dealing with a completely different terrain, thus requiring a few different items? Good luck, Sir. I hope that your move wasn't too much of a hassle and I hope that you adjust to your new surroundings easily.

Thanks. Ya know the biggest caveat about butane lighters is they run out of fuel. Well, I just discovered they're pretty fragile also. Drop one just right and parts will go everywhere. This method is good to know.

Me too, I would rather beat my head against a rock to start fire. I've had great success in most of the other primitive fire-making, chert and steel, bow drill. Ps. screw that fire piston also, the only success I had was bruising my palm
