This is unbelievable! Your way of teching is incredable! This is truely a complete and amazing class! Thank you so much How about the formal version of Deshita?
@satous-nihongo-playground10 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Deshita is a polite version and “datta” is a casual/plain version😊 I explained at the beginning of this lesson series but I teach polite speech mainly and then move on to casual speech😊 When I talked about casual speech, I added explanation about that. If there’s no explanation, it’s a polite speech👍🏻

QUESTION: How do i connect two past tense adjectives? do i still use the Te-form of adjectives past tense in conjuncting them?
@satous-nihongo-playground3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! We use te-form of adjectives for the first one. かわいくて、ちいさかったです。 (It was cute and small.) Te-form itself doesn’t show any tense, so only the word at the end shows if it’s about past, present or future. You can also connect three or more adjectives too. e.g. かわいくて、ちいさくて、きれいでした。

Im confused because my teacher is teaching me to negate formal Japanese using arimasen and arimasendeshita.
@satous-nihongo-playground Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Both ways are correct! Most of the teachers teach one of them depends on what textbook they use. I explained the differences in my lesson 5😊Hope it helps!

same, in the textbook that we study from at uni they change the negative adjectives into past like たかくありませんでした so i was confused if i should use this one or たかくなかったです. but now it's clear haha
