When he was sewing the pocket I was wondering what stitch was he using? Because I’m a beginner that would have been a nice tip as well, but this video is super valuable to me...

Hi! Thanks a lot for your comments! 😊Let me answer your question: I was using a regular topstitch (both for the front and back pockets). Also, when sewing the front pocket bag, I was using a serger (4-thread overlock).

Hello, What size of elastic did you use and how cm did you fold in on the waist. I bought the patyern on etsy 3days ago.
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks a lot for your purchase =)!. All our patterns include a "details sheet" with all specifications. Regarding your specific question, the elastic used here is 4 cm in width. Elastoc length depends on the size you are sewing. These lengths are included both in the details sheet and in the pattern "Front" piece. The waistline is folded as much as the elastic (in this case, 4 cm).

Hi, can you mention or listed every material fabrics that you use in your video?😁
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks a lot for your comment! Sure, here are the materials you need (these are originally mentioned in the pattern's details sheet): a) Main knit-fabric; I've used here some a "melange" (color) one-sided brushed fleece. French terry is also a great option. Sometimes these can be referred to as "sweatshirt fabric". You will need about 160 cm (1.75 yards) for the smallest size and 205 cm (2,2 yards) for the biggest one. b) Rib-Knit fabric. Usually bought to the same provider as the main fabric. This way both fabrics are the same composition and both have the exact same color. c) Cord (or two shoelaces sewn in the back): 130 cm (51,1 inches) for the smallest size and 205 cm (78,7 inches) for the biggest one. d) Elastic (4 cm / 40 mm width). 1 m / 1 yard e) Non-Woven Fusible Interfacing (used when sewing the buttonholes). Just a small piece.

What amount of minimum stretch should the fabric be? How much ease is added? Low stretch sweatshirt fleece ? Like 5-15% or more?
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Any sweatshirt material will do just fine. In this case, I`ve used a cotton one, so it barely stretches (still great results). Regarding the final garment measurements, you can refer to the measurements chart in the sewing pattern description: pdfpatternsboutique.com/b/FL49a

Thanks a lot for your comment =)!! Regarding your question; I used some cotton Rib-Knit for the cuffs (same light gray melange color).

Great video! If i don’t have a serger what kind of stitches do you recommend to use instead?
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your comment! Regarding our question; all modern home sewing (and not so modern ones) have either a "simil serger/overlock stitch" or a "stretch stitch" for knit fabrics. If you know the brand and model of your machine, I can guide you on which is the right stitch to use.

I’m thinking of buying this pattern as my current designer has re sent her pattern x4 for mistakes 😮.. very disappointing. I’ve made several of your polo shirts now and just love it! As for these pants, I’m quite short, is there a ‘shorten here’ line on the pattern? Also I’m not a fan of elastic leg cuffs. Can they be simply hemmed to my preference as the elastic cuff does add length.. ? TIA 😊
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE7 ай бұрын
Hi! Sorry for the delay. Nope, sorry; there is no such thing as a separate hemline but this alteration is quite simple. You may simply remove the cuffs and add a hem seam allowance if needed. You may also want to add some extra width on the legs.

nice video. how is the fit for men, is it relaxed or baggy? Also, do the pants start to taper at the ankle?
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE Жыл бұрын
Hi! This is a "regular" fit pattern. It's not necessarily baggy but not a slim fit at all either. These legs have rib knit cuffs, so the side seam goes from the hip level directly to the ankle line. I hope that answers your questions; let me know otherwise.

Do you teach how to sew the pieces together ? I’ve never used a sewing machine . Also. Where do you get the cut out pieces ?
@PDFPATTERNSBOUTIQUE3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks a lot for your comment! Let me answer your question right away: These videos are what I like to call "a sewing along video"; this would be more like a demostration of how to sew rather than a sewing lesson. For that reason, some basic knoledge is needed beforehand (threading and operating the sewing machines, using commertial sewing patterss, cutting fabric, etc). Here on KZbin there are tons of videos on how to get started into sewing and you will for sure get an answer to your questions.
