aahhhh, the electric slide!!!! can dance it to salsa music too!!!! that's how I got started into line dancing, I went to a salsa festival and they were dancing the electric slide to a salsa song, I was the only person who didn't know the electric slide, not after that!!! I've been line dancing for two years now and I love it!!!!! THANKS!

Hi there! I just happen to come across your video and thought how helpful it must be for the beginner dancers. Keep it up! Teach the dancers to always, ALWAYS keep their knees slightly bent when they dance and that is what will take out the bouncing! The bouncing has to go! Keeping knees slightly bent will also protect your knees and ankles. It's something that needs to be constantly reminded till it becomes a habit. Keep on dancing! ..... Amy

Love it! When you described a weave with your hands. That's what I do when I teach a weave. I was told I'd make a good traffic cop because I teach verbally, with my feet but also with my hands.

Haha, "backs and knees"! Don't I know it! I'm pushing 60 and decided to take up line dancing😃 ouch! Way more fun than a gym, though 💟

I have never seen a jazz box performed that way. The way I was taught and I teach is .. for a right jazz box...Cross right over left, step back on left, step right to right side, step left next to right. I am just wonderring, if it is done differently depending where you live.

Hi Alvie, I have noticed that with linedancing a jazz box is often used the way you describe. In fact I have done that myself, if you go to www.country-time.com and look up their Line Dance Glossary of Terms it is described in the way I show it on this particular video. I actually had one of my students call me out on my jazz box I was teaching for a dance in class, she is a tap dancer and they do it with the step in it. Most of the dances we are doing though do not put the step in it. I hope that kinda clears it up for you. Thanks, Cef

Vast majority of jazz boxes start with the cross step, not forward...that might be ballroom, but not line dance. A weave is a vine that starts with a cross....Right crosses over the left, left to side, etc. It defines how the step begins, not how the combination ends. A vine starts right to right, but a weave stars right to left.

Unfortunately, I could only watch a portion of your instructive video. It was too hard to follow the steps as you faced the camera and you didn't spend much time with your back facing the camera, which would have been much more helpful in learning the steps.

please do all with your back to us otherwise it's very hard to learn the steps . Thanks
