Oh the new menu looks sleek! I definitely stuggled a bit with the original, but this looks much more organized and easy to use :) Honestly I think the action bar kind of added more clutter to it all and I wasn't really planning on using it all that much so I'm kind of glad it's been removed. If it's added again, hopefully you'll have an option to toggle it off!
