Do you have an instagram or twitter? I recently just got a 1994 mr2 and your videos are really helpful! Any recent update on that mr2?

+RealShaneOG I don't really update my Twitter and don't have an Instagram for the channel. I've been really busy for the last few months and have Kym up in the air with a really slow clutch change going on. I hope to get back to another video in a few weeks time... Congrats on the new car; hope you enjoy it and I'm glad my videos are useful for you.

wow this is an amazing video! how do I know when to top up the coolant?
@GeekoftheRoad4 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) There is a coolant bottle you could check but it's location is so awkward I don't know anyone who actually does. A trick you can use instead is to take a *cold* engine, open the rad cap and squeeze the rubber pipe going to the cap - if you can't see coolant appear as you squeeze then it's worth topping up.

So...my big bro fucked up changing my oil in my '91 mr2 and turned out he poured out the transmission oil. How do i put the transmission oil? Cause i have to get this done right now

David Rosabal You get it fixed? It’s kind of a bitch on the MR2 but doable. The right socket makes the difference.
@davidrosabal2694 жыл бұрын
@@negativeindustrial yeah i got it fixed, i found out on the same day it had misfires om 3 cylinders and it still does no matter what i do to fix it
@negativeindustrial4 жыл бұрын
David Rosabal You replace the coil, igniter, plugs, plug wires, distributor, cap and rotor with actual Toyota parts? If you did all of that, it’s probably a leaky ECU.
@negativeindustrial4 жыл бұрын
That’s weird. I’ve had several 3S-GEs and 3S-GTEs and the filter always comes out from top. I’ve never seen one pointed down before.
@GeekoftheRoad4 жыл бұрын
I know the earlier 3S-GTEs had the oil filer on the side of the block (under the exhaust manifold) but on gen3 GEs and GTEs the oil filter is on the sump.

Geek of the Road Yeah, we never got the later engines. My Celica has an ST-185 CS/RC engine and my MR2 has the USDM Gen II 3S
@heytheremr26 жыл бұрын
Toyota North America should have used the 3SGE here instead of the 5SFE. Uggghh
@negativeindustrial4 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Cortez I had a Celica with it. Brilliant engine. The 5S-FE is the most reliable engine of all time tho. Hands down.
