Very fluid. The wall in the back of the pits is quite intimidating. My senses tell me to go left and you keep it on the right way beyond my comfort zone. But it’s clear the effect of this position in the apex/exit of that corner and therefore the speed by the end of that “straight”.

Pedro Paiva Thanks! Indeed, 99% of the people who start driving on track or racing, turn in way too early, which is logical in some sense from driving a regular car in traffic. But as you’ve already said, in this case it’s about the exit.

If you kind of “V” those hairpins and think double apex, you can get a faster entry AND fast exit. Also, turn 9 apex should be just a little later.

Thanks for the input. But the V method depends a lot on the type of racecar, grip and power. It’s not faster with every type of car to do V shape corners. And turn 9 apex shouldn’t be any later than this. Actually this is even a bit too late for optimum speed/laptime. In every type of race car we trail brake very deep into that corner, turning in earlier than in this video.

Gagan Derpson Yes. It’s not at full speed, but just to show our racing students the basic racing line. :)
