Have you tried germinating date palm trees , it would be best suited for tropical climate .You need to put the seeds immersed in water for 3 to 4 days , then put the seeds in a semi large plastic cover filled with soil , water it daily for a few weeks , after one year plant it on land . You need to plant a minimum 10 trees to have adequate number of male palms for wind pollination.

I have coconut, Areca palm and parlor palm trees in my garden. Their seeds fall off and sometimes germinate in places under the tree.However, I do not have much interest in palm trees.But we grow a lot of coconut trees for food.I have date palm seeds I will try to germinate soon. I really appreciate your comments.😀🌴

@@Kalana_Herath I have slightly edited my comment as you need to place the seeds onto soil for good germination after submersion of seeds for 3 to 4 days in water and then replant it on land after one year. I promote planting all types of edible palm trees on vacant land because it will be free food for animals ,birds and humans in times of famine 😀.
