@Tanzzy please I will appreciate if you create a time and answer these questions. 1 - is Fort Sill a friendly environment? Do they allow trainees to use their phones on weekends? 2- Do they process citizenship for those who are not citizens? 3- Is it ok to mail my naturalization paper work to USCIS before going to Basic training? ( My recruiter told me that I the commander will approve naturalization documents then he will return it to me then I will fill N400 form and mail it to USCIS )

About the environment. I am not sure about the naturalization process but I do know that several people who were in basic with me were going through this process . I’ve watched all your military videos! I just had my ship date and basic changed :( now fort sill and in January… I’ve also heard sooo many say bring nothing even and my recruit sustainment program… I’d rather follow what you said about what to bring but I’m curious of when and how you they decide what you can keep. I know they do the amnesty check but when do you get to take things you brought and have them with you or transfer to your big duffle? The process of your bag getting locked away and what you can keep/when is a little confusing. Older as well 37 and so upset about going in winter now, I have good socks (military) and wondering if I should bring or have them shipped with other things Thank you so much for your videos!

Can you put stuff in your army duffel after they go thru it? I just heard many saying they couldn’t even have their sport bras or under shorts etc, even if they matched the requirements:(

I'm not sure if I missed it but... they will Just walk you into the room and do like a normal eye test ( cover your eye read the chart ) if you were glasses you will skip this part and get a prescription. Its like a normal eye exam. They just want to make sure for thoes who dont have glasses and need them you are covered.

Hey! So my boyfriend was in reception for a week. Then was sent to where he was doing basics. I got a call from him it was only like 30 seconds. Was this the call where i got his address?? I could barely hear him, it sounded so chaotic in the background. I hope i didn't miss it.

He will call again , that call was just to let you know he made it to basic training. He will be able to send you a letter as well and you can get his address at that time

They will let you know before you ship out . If you can read and understand English there is no need. The people who went to ESL program could not understand English.

Hey! I’m leaving on the 8th of august for BCT Do you recall if they do another blood pressure test at reception or at MEPS before you head to reception?

Not at my meps. If you had high numbers the first time they might. For the next week don't salt your food, no caffeine, and try not to eat meat 2-3 days before.…and drink enough water It drastically changes your blood pressure. The day you go to meps don't eat until after you did your medical again. You will be fine! All the best to you on your journey 🤗

More men than women, but there definitely was no shortage of females. We had one full bay with about 30/40 females ( sleeping area ) and the guys had like 4 to give you an example .

You don’t have to bring underwear you can buy them at the pX . I would definitely recommend bringing solid colored underwear I have some linked in my Amazon store . Hello, Ideally you all will be in the same battery. Being held at reception option( because of bloodwork, and anything like that ) would cause you to be ( recycled ) and you would leave with another group ❤️
