Types of Seams
1. Plain seam: It is used for side seams and armhole seams on skirts, coats, blouse etc.,
2. Flat fell seam : It is also called Run and fell seam. It is a flat durable seam used on men's shirt, children clothes and pyjamas.
3. French seam: It is also called double seam. It is used on transparent and light weight fabrics.
4.Mantua maker's seam: It is not suitable for bulky fabrics
5. Piped seam: It gives decorative finish to the garment. It is used in waistline, yoke line and armhole life of the garment.
