A few things to clarify on. The distance traveled costs a flat -140. No matter how fast you’re going, using higher tier horse and/or acceleration still costs the same amount for distance traveled. Where you save on food is from lessening the time spent on the map. The longer you’re on the map (excluding towns) the more you lose due to the constant -50 food consumption that happens every few seconds. So a higher tier horse and using acceleration decreases the time spent on the map in between towns which lowers the loss of food due to the constant -50 food loss. A possible way to offset this is by planning routes to never hit the same paths twice. The idea behind this is as you level up your workers, they start gaining levels in tasks which then in turn lessens the time required to complete the node events. If they gather fast enough, they offset the amount of time it costs to gather and sometimes even produce a gain in food. To expand upon this theory a little more, if you go to a town to maximize profit and find that the route you’ll travel next is the same one, exiting mercantry is an option but it may lessen your score for receiving rewards at the end. You have to consider which is more important at the time. Maximizing the rewards upon completion, OR maximizing food consumption efficiency. In the beginning, to boost leveling mercantry, I’d advise maximizing food consumption as your rewards won’t be that great anyways compared to the benefit of leveling up rapport with merchants and the benefits of leveling your workers.

Nice Vid Sir Legit. Definitely Vit Str Dex is not affect anything on Merchantry. So yeah, put the best workers on the wagon and consistently use the same workers to keep increasing their level on merchantry.

Thanks for this guide, very useful. One trick is to set base as North calpheon as it is at center and equidistant from other regions (balenos on right,southwest calph on left) so food consumption is uniform. Also acceleration doesn't cost food

Thank you sir Legit , this mini game is quite complicated. In my own opinion, I think Merchantry can only be played if a player still have extra spare time since this game-mode is a little bit time consuming and cannot be prioritize over other quests/events.

Right now since it's not hot time, it's better to do mechantary since you get silvers, and loads of Blackstones for cheap, level up your workers quickly. Even the events right now are not time consuming.

I know that in the Taiwan version you can set up base apart from Velia that allows you to refuel your food kinda like a gas station. I've been looking around to check how I can establish my base in the central so I can create to and fro routes and refuel after every trip. You can so both! When your 4 best workers are home use them for Merchantry, when you're done put them out to gather. Always work on maxing town hall!

I love ur guides. Very honest opinions. I got lvl 10 pretty fast doing market only btw Velia and Western post inside balenos and I'm lvl 11 now, in the second day. I really don't understand this system yet. It gives me xp only if I profit, I got that, when I try to sell items with loses, no xp is get. I don't know if the game want me to walk trought all maps since this way gives a lot xp and profit. Going to other maps is very expansive, I don't feel it's worth atm but sure, I'm very noob yet.

You use 50 food for waiting and 140 for moving. Accel just gives speed n doesn't consume extra food. Only worker grade and lvl matter not stats. You need to maximize those sub stats lvls for more rewards.

Akai Ryuugamine was just about to comment on this. The -140 is related to horse consumption of food. The faster you’re moving, the faster it’s eaten. The -50 is from how long you’re on the map. In theory, by using acceleration you still consume the same amount of food for distance traveled, BUT you decrease the time in between nodes thereby lessening the -50 costs for time spent on the map.
