Basic Wing Chun Kicking Training (詠春腳法介紹)

This video footage is to show the training for the two basic types of Wing Chun kicks: ZING3 GOEK3 (Front Kick), WAANG4 GOEK3 (Side Kick) and its evolved HYUN1 ZING1 GOEK3 (Circling front kick or named as Half Moon Kick). Wing Chun 8 Legs and its applications are developed from these two basic kicks.

I have been learning and training Wing Chun for more than 7 years in Hong Kong. Honestly, I would like to say these kickings are powerless and these sure will take you to a disadvantaged situation because you probably lose your balance before hurting your opponents.

nice video and solid moves.. could please also explain why you switch extending hand when throwing straight kick? (0:05) is there a particular application for this? many thanks in advance :)
