For all we know, Roman could have met Neo by chance, he saw a girl who is trained and also seems to have maiden powers, what better thing to do other than get her on your team, if you kill her it’ll go to a random person, since Roman is a boy, and if you don’t kill her she’ll kill you, or just walk away making that somewhat a waste of time, and after recruitment Roman and Neo formed a bond so he didn’t give away the secret she’s the spring maiden 2. It could have been possible Raven showed up in the train by accident, hunting for Neo since she’s the spring maiden, and it was just coincidence she just happened to save Yang instead, since after kicking yang’s butt Neo seems scared of Raven ( of course this was before her semblance was OFFICIALLY revealed) I can’t remember the other reason but no matter cause Raven turns out to be the spring maiden and the theory false
