Yang and the others raid the MCs father dojo to take the talismans from them. MCs father is a member of The Guardians who are warriors tasked with protecting the talismans one of which is life (MCs talisman) and the other are elemental. For example Sean has the fire talisman. Yangs wife and child were either sick or injured and on their deathbeds when Yang pleaded to MCs father to use the talismans in order to save them. MCs father refused, which set Yang on the path to steal them and destroy the guardians after his wife and child died. As the guardians go the CEO was one of them until she decided the talismans should be used rather than sit in a box, and Seans father was another one which means Sean straight up betrayed and presumably had a hand in his fathers death. Yang and MC are not related. Little brother or little sister is a part of Chinese culture. They are the equivalent of saying bro. P.s. when you hear or read Sifu think Sensei or master. That's what it means

@@sosa3559 Well there's more to it. If you notice, Protag doesn't have the talisman at all when they come out of hiding. It was given to them. Also note that, of all the bosses, Yang is the only one who actually knows who the Protag is. Everyone else just thinks they are a wayward student that survived or something - they don't know. I suspect Yang did it.

Skip all that, focus energy into a sequel. Sifu was just a proof of concept. A really good but really short indie game. Now with a little extra bread in their pockets, they can develop the combat and environments even further. I think patching features into this game would be a waste of their time

I believe the reason Yang killed his master was because he wanted to use the pendent that revives you to bring back his wife and daughter, and his master refused and kicked him out. He then teamed up with others to take the magical talismans to help others when they killed the master, but the talismans corrupted them and changed them (although some might have been scummy to begin with).

you should use the parry more, trying to avoid an attack is a guessing game but getting down the timing of their attacks is easy with enough practice, it also builds their structure metre up a lot.

I think it really depends on the game and the developer's intentions. Dark Souls, for example, was specifically designed to have one difficulty so every player would have to jump over the same hurdle. As for accessibility, there was a disabled guy who beat Gael with just his chin (I'd link the article but I'd prob get flagged for spam).

On the difficulty mode topic, there's just literally no downside for easier options being included. If you want it to be harder you just dont pick those options. it existing only has benefits for more people. Many in the comments have already mentioned that makes it more accessible for people with disabilities so I'll make an additional point on who this benefits. Everyone who doesnt play games for a living and has only so much time to dedicate to a game each week, if that. They just cant invest 20 hours of stress gameplay to git gud just to progress in a game that they aren't making money from playing and getting stressed at it. I think Afro forgets that gaming is his livelyhood, and a harder game makes better content for him. Most people dont have incentive structure. Now i dont think its bad if a developer doesnt want to include multiple difficulties and there's some games where that doest make sense to or is just not possible too. Games with online components (like elden ring) aren't good fits for adding multiple difficulties mode because they have to keep things balanced for online play. But its very possible for basically any single player game to do so and i think its good to do it with no downside because the people who want the harder experience can just choose that, just like people who want the easier experience can choose that.

I believe in easy game modes. If a developer does not want to include them that is fine but you can play the game however you want if its there. Sometimes its just about the experience. I usually play my games on hard before anybody tells me to git gud or whatever

@@aleaxe1212 Objectively adding an easy does change other people's experiences, because it takes time and resources to make said easier mode that could of been used to polish the original experience better with better balancing, or adding more content entirely. So your first sentence is objectively wrong. Be it Monster Hunter, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, the games with just one difficulty are better. Hell even piss easy games like Spyro without extra difficulties, are better. Why? Because all that extra time is done making the base experience better. You don't need to be experienced to have an easier time, sometimes it's just talent, sometimes it's reflexes, sometimes it's intelligence. Multiple things can cause a person to be better at a game quicker than other people. However that doesn't change the major experience. Someone who beat Sekiro in 10 hours will have the same skills that someone who did it in 100 will. Sure one took longer because they worse at it, but they still got to that point, built up the skills needed and succeeded. In the end it doesn't matter though, there is no debate over this. Because the developers know what experience they want for their games. People who want to force easy modes are just bitching and people who want to force only a hard mode is being controlling. The devs know best.

That is just wishful thinking on your part. Second, reaching more people with a game is definitely better way to ensure that a game sells more so its better for the the studio and the industry in general, so even if your claim was correct you still benefit from there being an easy mode as it probably means you get more games to play.

Yang was a disciple just like the Main Character and the ones you beat up in the tutorial showing that the kungfu school was thriving. Only the Main Character is blood related to the old Sifu Yang kills. The reason Yang wanted to kill his and all the other Sifus was because they were the Guardians of Wude and to get the power to bring back his (Yang's) wife and child which got him expelled in the first place thus setting Yang on a similar path of revenge as the Main Character minus the magic medallion which is what he came looking for in the cutscene. The game explained all this via dialogue and the detective board. Your welcome Afro!
