Depends on the quality of your opponents & partner. I do only defensive/standard against a strong team/weak partner. Otherwise, a quick counterattack and you lose the point.

It's never a good idea to do attacking or sometimes even standard lifts against tall opponents. They catch it mostly.

Meeting tall players, your standard lift automatically has to be higher :) Otherwise as you are saying, they'll get to it early = You get in trouble
