REVIEW - SARAMONIC XLR Wireless Mic Adapter Plus Recorder Tips!

This is the part two video, where I look at the Saramonic UwMic9 XLR Plug-on transmitter and receiver, and also cover how to daisy chain the SR-VRM1 audio recorder into the mix. This gives video creators an all-around solution to shooting video without having to worry about power, recorders and cables. Quick Question, could I just use the transmitter with the microphone plugged into the recorder , or do I need all three??

I recently bought the UwMic10 set. I'm not sure what the difference is from the Mic9, maybe just that the 10 is a dual set up. Anyway, I digress. "'m very pleased with the sound quality and the price can't be beat. I am not a sound expert but after seeing a few of your Saramonic reviews, I decided to try them out, since I badly needed a wireless solution. My only complaint is the battery. They have not lasted as well I had hoped. Now for my point- Thanks for the reviews. They have been VERY helpful in assisting me.

Hey! You are welcome! How long do you get on the battery? You can try using some high-quality batteries (check out the battery specs), and you'll get much more time on those.

GM6, the difference is frequency range. 9 covers 500 MHz, 10 covers 600 MHz.

Have you used the TX-XLR9 wireless mic adapter directly on your Deity S Mic 2 yet? Since the transmitter doesn't have a level adjustment, I'm wondering if the output level of the Deity matches well, giving enough signal for low noise, without clipping the input of the transmitter. Thank you for any input on using the S Mic 2 with the TX-XLR9 as well as the SR-VRM1.

Kevin I'm so glad I found you review. I've been trying for 2 hours via youtube, google and the manual to try and figure out how to set my input on the transmitter. No one anywhere in the 10 videos I've watched said a word ever. I though that the volume on the receiver was what was going in to the camera or recorder. So I assume there is no way to adjust the signal going into the camera or recorder over than using the camera or recorder. So if I hear you correctly the volume in the receiver is you transmitter input/volume control? Thanks for this a life saver tonight.

If you rotate that hot shoe mount 180 degrees and slide it in from the other side (top) of the transmitter, that is actually how it is meant to attach on there. You will notice how the groove in the plastic runs along the length and then out to the side, which matches the shape of the metal belt clip wire. This will give a more secure connections, and not extend the length of the overall assembly. Hope that helps! Also I am wondering if you have ever done a test to see how much the sound quality and noise floor is with the XLR transmitter vs an XLR cable. I have the 2 lav kit and am contemplating getting the XLR adapter as well to use with a shotgun mic. Thank you for any insight into the sound quality difference!

My Microphone Causes signal cuts with large numbers of people. I did the test at the bus station. Lots of interference. Can you help me? Used receiver RX15 and microphone transmitter SR-HM15.

Hmmmm. I haven’t experienced this, but I haven’t used them in exceedingly high traffic cell phone, cell tower and Wifi areas. As of 2020, my only solution had been to get the new Deity HD-TX which frequency hops constantly to make sure that doesn’t happen. Unfortunately, that’s just more money and not a great solution.

I really like it a lot. The only problem I've seen so far, and is when it's attached to the mic, it's hard t see the levels on the screen, but, once you dial in your particular mic, it's not a problem.

It has its uses in certain situations as stated in the video, but yes, under normal circumstances you would go direct to the recorder.
