It hits the things that interests me in such a specific way: the art style with hard straight lines, the paper aesthetic which transitions into solid colors with no lineart, the character designs that are so full of personality and happen to match the vibe of what i'd like to make one day, the brutal violence and gore. It’s extremely interesting to me how just one simple video unintentionally built up an entire fandom. Saw this when it only had 67k views, I knew this was going to blow up but did not expect it to have THIS many views. I’ve been in the animation community for quite some time and have not seen something grow exponentially so fast in such a short time. I’d say its success was mostly due to tiktok and appealed to many young audiences on that platform. I must admit both the animation and the song used are very catchy and I’ve watched it many times simply because it’s pleasing to watch. I’m interested to see what the creator will do with this sudden success.

can we appreciate how fast claire ran from Alice with an injured leg also im obsessed w/ the animation the part where zip turns around and it transitions to oliver. its extremely hard to make 2d characters turn around especially when they have basically no depth or 3d since its paper. seriously good job katie. also the part where miss circle spins, oliver spins and claire turns around. its very clever how you made her look like her paper was folding to turn around. and when the teacher looks at miss circle her paper texture is more visible which really shows the attention to detail.
