Sir is radial tunnel syndrome same as PIN compressive neuropathy?
@GKHandSurgery Жыл бұрын
That's a very good question @Gautam Kalra. The Radial tunnel is one of the places where the PIN can get compressed. But the Radial tunnel syndrome is a condition where there is pain in the elbow and forearm, but no motor or sensory loss of PIN distribution. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK555937/#:~:text=Radial%20tunnel%20syndrome%20refers%20to,release%20reserved%20for%20recalcitrant%20cases.

Hello, sir, thank you for your efforts and help. I would like to ask a question. What is the sense of using the posterior cutaneous branch as a guide during the surgery, if radial nerve liyes in intermuscular plane in this field and is almost not covered by any other structures. Why not to go to it directly? Thank you.

Sometimes it may be difficult to identify the radial nerve within the thick scar. The posterior cutaneous branch may serve as a guide.

Sir, I had radial nerve palsy after the ORIF of distal humerus with titanium plate and 12 screws. It’s nearly 6 months now after the surgery but I can’t still lift the wrist and extend the fingers. NCV with EMG says “motor ncs reveals CMAPs and SNAPs are absent in radial nerve”. Till How long I can go for nerve transfer before it gets permanent damaged sir? Or tendon transfer is the only option at this stage? Plz reply sir
