awesome video! I really appreciate that you create that video, as a person who had break in doing UT for almost two years I think this is huge help to get back in to UT.

A great video.. Why can not we use audible frequency range of sound waves for industrial inspection?
@NDE4010 ай бұрын
The wavelength determines the minimal size of the objects you want to find - a wave with 10 kHz in steel (~6000m/s) allows you to find objects with ~0,5 METER (the lower limit would be something like 0,15m). With 2 MHz you can typically find indications of ~1 mm and larger.

Could you show us how to use piping calibration blocks for the inspection of diffrent pipe diamater??

Nice video, very informative. Would you plan to talk about new Sonar technology used in todays Fishfinders, such as LiveScope, ActiveTarget live sonar, etc.?
@NDE403 жыл бұрын
Up to the moment I focus on the application of ultrasonics for nondestructive material testing. Pretty soon I will do a video on TFM and SAFT - which are reconstructrion methods for ultrasonics. I guess they are used in new sonar technology. Perhaps I will do a bit of research.

What’s your take on the idea that getting exposed to those X-rays will have health consequences? I am materials engineering graduate and looking forward to enroll in ntd program for certification. Any advice Thank you!
@NDE403 жыл бұрын
Being exposed the x or other rays has health consequences. This is why professionals who are exposed to radiation have to be monitored. In most countries the allowable dose is lower than natural radiation. This leads to the situation that the health consequences for such professionals are similar to those of everybody. So no worries. Just check the x-ray protection program of your country.
