Wow! I just discovered your channel and within 15 minutes I learned so many things. I really struggle with math and I have a hard time figuring out the correct angles in my wood working. Some of the tips and tricks you are showing make it really simple to understand. Thank you so much!!

Ethan, Cool video on the t-bevel. It's amazing how the "basic" tools are rarely discussed and how meaningful they are. The demo you showed about the 2-degree difference in the miter cuts was insightful because, as you said, it could impact the project where length is concerned. I now use this tool to determine accuracy of inside corners of my cabinet boxes and even squareness of ceiling-to-wall measurements for framing. Thanks for providing both tool basics and (clear) examples! -Derrick

God bless you. You really helped me out with gas welding. Your videos disappeared from my feed, and the first time in a long time I got notified of a video from you, and it’s an eight year old video. ? Anyway, be good. Take care.

Great video, I need to get one of the T-Bevels so I can get the angles I need off the base that my wood-stove sits on so I can finish the trim around it. Did the flooring last year and just kind of eye-balled the measurements for the lengths of the flooring. I have trim to put around the base to cover up the space I just couldn't find anything that would give me the angles...now I know exactly what I'm going to need. Thank you for a great video. You have some awesome easy to understand instructions on many of these measuring tools. The speed square and carpenter's squares are great tools, and learned how to use them several years ago while I was in junior high school because I saw all the markings and took the time and had my shop teacher explain the markings, and how to use them.

Nice video and well presented. I'm a plasterer by trade although since work is drying up, I have been needing to take on any job. As I'm a perfectionist I like doing quality work. This is useful for brick paving. Also building pergolas. Thanks. I have the sliding bevel and drawing up some angles on the computer.

The two examples aren't identical. In the first example, the brass part of the bevel gauge extends to the left of the brass. In the second example, it doesn't, which suggests that you weren't holding the bevel gauge in the same place in both examples. It's possible that I've made an error in my observation, but I don't think I did. Just the same, I like your videos. Very informing!
