a game playing tip: do not worry about paragon vs. renegade choices so much when you get the prompt to take some action in the dialogue. some of the renegade choices have rather amusing cut scenes and can have a positive effect in some combat that comes shortly after....most of your choices will be paragon, but the ones you make as renegade choices won't detract from your paragon score....you will continue to get paragon points in the basic dialog choices you make, as well as an occasional renegade point

Absolutely love the cast in these games! Already we've seen Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man and Yvonne Strahovsky as Miranda (in a rare case where she gets to use her actual Australian accent). In addition to the already great cast from the first game like Seth Green as Joker and Raphael Sbarge as Kaidan. They could easily cast a show or movie of this series and just have many of the voice actors play their own characters 😂

I originally missed ME1 ,despite many of the gamers I knew saying I should play it. A friend of mine obtained a hooky version of ME2 and sent it my way. I loved it so much I went and bought both the games and the available dlc. Going through 2 again, this time with an imported ME1 save, transformed 2. As good as it had been from a vanilla start, the sudden extra storyline and callbacks to 1 were such a great addition. So glad you're enjoying one of my favourite series, Basic!

The trilogy is a masterpiece. This one is generally considered peoples favorite. It has nod(s) to a certain movie classic, if you've seen said classic you'll pick them up straight away. If you've not, then I'll tell you on your final stream of this game. Not exactly a spoiler, but it is something of an "Oh s**t, REALLY?!" kinda thing. Enjoy. Just like the 1st game your decisions carry over to the 3rd game, so be sure to save on your final day. Quicksaves, save asses.

Enjoyed your start to ME2. Would suggest that you use your own an your teammates powers by your choice and not do it via the game choosing when they get used. Biotic combos are powerful if used together. A singularity that grabs a group of enemies will explode if you hit it with incinerate, overload, or other powers causing damage or deaths to those close to the explosion. Your 2 years was hilarious

2 things you NEED to know before going forward! Credits are hard to come by in this game! Spend it wisely. Complete as much of the story/side missions and get as many upgrades as possible BEFORE! starting the "Reaper IFF" mission.. This game has a hidden in-game timer that starts when you start that particular mission. You'll want to do it that way for reasons....

For some reason I found that the Bioware games always had a default romance interest no matter whom the player chooses. I mean For Mass Effect it seems that the game is ion Favor of a Liara Romance; and for Dragon Age they seem to want the player to choose Liliandra. Both characters have the easiest Romance options and it's there by default. You have to really put in the work to romance most of the others.

Maaate as much as I have enjoyed watching your ME1 playthrough I have been waiting for this moment and you absolutely did not disappoint. Everything levels up from Here, not just the graphics Some hints for you Definitely do the Mordin mission asap as that helps with Upgrades, and speaking of which ask squad members for Upgrades for the Normandy Your health and shields will regenerate automatically just go to cover Scan and Probe every planet even in the Local cluster as this is vital for upgrades and lots of hidden finds. The Paragon and Renegade options happen a lot so be ready to click. Eavesdropping on conversations is always a good idea You have a little more weapon options available to you so look into the armoury and even the mission loadout screen for you and your squad as some weapons do way more damage than others even if their fire rate isn’t as high. Looking forward to seeing your playthroughs as this is absolutely my favorite in the series and hits sooo hard. 😊

ME1 Vanguard is more or less a Biotic soldier that can't effectively use half the weapons. ME 2/3 Vanguard is an unstoppable freight train of destruction with a shotgun/SMG. My Femshep always ends up a Spacer War Hero Vanguard because of her Berserker mentality. She needs a longer ranged and teach heavy squad to back her up. Her twin brother (Maleshep) ends up being a Spacer Sole Survivor Sentinel, and requires combat heavy squad to support his admittedly poor gunplay.

For your next ME1 playthru… the orig Normandy does have an armory, it’s right next to Ash, you can equip every teammates gear there … then mark all the stuff you won’t use to either sell or convert to omnigel. On PC the little trash can icon on each item is very hard to see for some reason. This was a new feature added to the legendary position. Gear and weapons are much simplified in ME2. Also, since I’m caught up with all your ME videos so far I have to wait each week. Torture! 😉

You clearly played Mass Effect 1, I'm surprised you didn't import your ME1 playthrough. The comic book is their way of doing a mini-ME1 playthrough in short form to get your key decisions made. Great way to do it, but not the same or as perfect of a start as if you import your ME1 save.

I think mine just transferred over? The recap seemed spot on and I was never given prompts for decisions! I thought the comic was just a cute recap for heading into ME2😂

@@basicwitgirl You should have gotten the option when you started ME2. One of the options would have been "Import ME1". I am a MASSIVE Mass Effect fan. My apartment is literally covered in ME/N7 gear. My favorite has always been ME3, but ME2 is very, VERY good. And it's critical to play ME1 & 2 so you can really feel what the characters are going through in ME3.
