Wish we had these drills back when I was in high school. I'm definitely going to teach this to my son. Thank coach.

Coach Drake is very high-intensity. He certainly knows how to bring up the energy. And coach Nick, you're very cerebral and I'd say thoughtful in your analysis of the game. Two great coaches, irrespective of your coaching style -- you guys are complementary.

nice nifty tip on the holding of the ur screeners knees to create a temporary barrier, the d definitely would not be able to close the gap

Great video, I've never seen that hand on the screeners back-knee before, that's great. Coach Nick I'd love some more videos on getting kids to slow down and see the game, I've got two with amazing ability that I am trying to slow down

+BBALLBREAKDOWN I would like to see a video for shooters, especially Ray Allen kinds who gets around the screens & shoots/read the defender. I know a lot depends on how well screens were set, but off ball moving is also something players should learn much more.

awesome drills, love the off hand on your team mates leg in the pnr. I think once you have the hang of the dribble move doing it stationary, you should only do it while moving after that. You can't be explosive in a stationary stance

Excellent breakdown! I learnt more about using screens in 15mins then I have in hours upon hours of looking at NBA videos uncritically. Just a question though, why not modify the last drill to use a dribble handoff and shot rather than have the player travel to simulate a pindown?

Usually love all your videos and a very few I didn't like. This was one of the few. Maybe it's the drill videos..... I love your breakdowns and analysis. I like drill videos but not a fan of these drills pick and roll drills. They seem like high intensity drills to get our players hearts pumping but I'd like to see something with more structure involving decision making. This seemed more like a workout than a skill building drill.

Pick & Roll is at it's best for Attacking-the-rim. Today's ballhandling PGs are 2-SOFT !!! They are worried about jumpshots. That kills the purpose of the NBA changing the Defensive Rules. They will give you the foul call. Be AGGRESSIVE !!!
@coachzbasketball9 жыл бұрын
High intensity? How about play real 2 v2? 3v3? 5 min of live game action (2v2, 3v3) is better than an hour of no defense drills. and also the blackout thing? more like burn out.

10:32 I know I play in Europe but thats a travel right there
@MrBankalicious9 жыл бұрын
He's simulating without the ball, it's more supposed to be a cut move and ignore the ball. The only reason they have the ball there is to do the rollback for the shot
