I knew a couple guys who were walk ons for the Seton Hall University basketball team. There was some sort of tryout and they decided to do it when they were in their junior year of college, and they made the team and played in a few regular season games!

That's awesome! I was planning on doing something like that the year after I graduated high school, then one thing led to another and I just never did. One of my regrets for sure...

i’m a freshman and i have d3 interest but do you think exposure events actually help if your really under the radar
@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
In order for it to have a big impact you will likely need more connections than just the camp itself. But being a freshman is an advantage because you have lots of time to spark some buzz about you. I would do all that you can to get people talking about you

It’s my senior year and I don’t know if I’m going to be able to play, because of the pandemic. Will I still be able to receive scholarships?

my guy in south africa i’m a hooper , what is ur best advice for me
@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with how things are there. I would just stay the course, keep your training strong (basketball, strength and conditioning, etc.) Find ways to play on competitive teams, and show people what you got!

Superior Athletes thank you man🤞🏽and also if not nba where do you think is a second good option for hoopers
@manrupvirk38394 жыл бұрын
EuroLeague, CBA, NBL

Sorry I must have missed this one. Those are great options other than the NBA!

can you still play at a specific college without a scholarship? for example if i apply for ucla and get accepted will i be able to play in the basketball team
@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
For sure, they usually sign quite a few walk-ons. I believe most of them will have some sort of tryout, so you can do it it's just not as smooth sailing as getting a scholarship.

I’m a freshman at a 6a high school and I just got hurt so haven’t played a game yet but I was wondering how to find AAU teams? Any other tips?
@SuperiorAthletes5 жыл бұрын
This is the tough part, but I would encourage you to ask around often. Talk to your coach, email coaches constantly to see if you can find any active teams. Unfortunately I don't have a great answer for how to get on aau teams, but I think just talking to a lot of people about it should be a great way to get things going in that department!

I’m going to 8th grade and I’m from a small town in Michigan. How can i get more attention around the city or maybe statewide
@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
Be very active, meaning play in front of as many people as you can and show them how good you are. Always be working and always be improving. If you are talented enough and play in front of enough people, make it to where everyone knows who you are. It takes constant effort!

@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
Try googling camps in your area. You might have to spend a little time on it and maybe even contact a couple of places/people but you should be able to find something locally

I'm not sure if that is one you need to be invited to, but go to their website and look for some way to get in contact with the people operating the camp. To get more information!

exposure is the most difficult thing for me because I live in Canada and I'm not playing against good enough competition.

Just be very active with playing in camps/aau, own them and people will start to notice!

Superior Athletes hey mate, I’m from Australia and I turned 14 this year, I’m ranked top 20 in the country and I’m very interested in getting overseas to play d1 college basketball, exposure is difficult and I’m unsure what to do, have any advice???
@SuperiorAthletes4 жыл бұрын
Ranked 20th?? Congrats man, you're killing it! I would say just keep it up, you are young, if you keep going forward you will be able to do great things. Just remain active, and make sure people know how good you are. Keep it up brother! 💪💪
