Loved your Iraqi Kurdistan vlogs! Can’t wait to visit! A question I’m struggling to find an answer to: how did you get decent travel insurance for Iraq?

I never actually get travel insurance 👀 have never bought it for anywhere actually. I’ve heard it’s difficult for countries like Iraq where the UK government declares unsafe and advises against all travel to, but there must be a provider somewhere! Cheers mate, couple more to come

@@LewisCrampton There are a few providers and tbh, if you're in and out over a few days then they're fairly reasonable. One thing I would say, NEVER EVER fly to the states without travel insurance. I would've been stiffed for $30k in medical fees for a single night in a New Orleans hospital without it and they are ruthless with collections, even if you're out of the country.

Personally, no I would not. I think there are better options around Iraq if you have the choice!

That's where I grew up 13:25 there is a school in front of that green dome, that was my elementary school for 4 years and a half before our house got hit by a rocket and we moved out in the 1987

Good to see you back and enjoying travel to obscure destinations again. You're right about the boat. The Basrah Breeze was once Saddam Hussein's super yacht. It is now used as a marine research vessel.
