Being one of the best bass players on the planet Bryan is so humble, so human, so normal and funny person.

TRUE student of "the craft" & he also notices other great players that exist out in the world, keeps him on his "A-Game" (he'll keep getting better & better in his career)

Wow. This guy is such a great musician. I have recently crossed over to the bass and let me tell you, it is not an easy instrument to play. In fact, it is much harder to play than a standard guitar. People think because the strings are so big and you mostly use fingers instead of a pick that it is easier than a guitar. WRONG! I am slowly changing my thinking from a guitarist to a bassist. Not an easy transition.

Great playing, and I can see how learning a song like that would put your chops to the test but I was really wondering about your lessons on tone...

My favorite Vai song. For The Love Of God has nothing on this song, his true masterpiece imo.

"That's just one part of it, the song is incredibly long and incredibly complex", Yeah, and there are at least 10 more songs on the setlist. I just can't figure out how you guys do to remember all that!

When I see most bassists action, it's so low but mine is high af. It sounds better imo and allows a much wider range of styles to be played but it would be nice to press and play with a little less intensity

its not really a solo if the bassist is following you 1 for 1. the point of a solo is to let the band fall back and do something basic while you rip a sexy lick. this is just a really complicated-ass song section.

I see no point in playing the octave double of the guitar. I'm not knocking Bryan. I'm just tired of the usual song structures: everything fast for the sake of fast and bass doubles guitar, etc. I'm not into fretboard athleticism, although I can respect people for their skill at it.
