Had one of those subs back around 2009. 4 string model. Played it for years over my fender highway one p bass. Thing was a workhorse and even with a 2 band eq you could get a ton of sounds out of it. Ran it through my backline 600 with a gk 4x10 and 15 and a compressor. Killer tone.

I own both, I switch off from one to another, the stingray is just a hair more beefier but I am proud to own both. Nice playing by the way!

USA SUB basically sounds like a Stingray Classic 5 since it has the classic 2 band preamp. Those who prefer the classic, more vintage sounding Stingrays would prefer a 2 bander. Both sound great though.

@@arturgomes2402 I know, I had one in burgundy red. It's the only bass I'm sorry I sold. I do have a 2 band Stingray now though. Old SUBs were just as good sounding as the "real deal". I'd love to add one more to my stable (maybe a 5 stringer!), and I'd love to add one of the new Stingray Specials.

@@b.k.6285 The SUB of the video belongs to a friend. But I was impressed by the cost benefit. Regarding the stingray, I already had some in hand ... I notice a big difference between the models of the 90s and the 2000s, unfortunately the quality was drastically reduced in the items produced in the 21st century

I own a 2003 sub mod out to sound more of the vintage Leo fender it nails it it was refinished stain brown and craved out for comfort it sounds and plays amazing and I got it for a deal years ago for 300 dollars

‘Useless’ is a little strong.. They sound very similar as is.
