As a 70-year old retiree, I'd like to say that this was the most informative "fishing" video I've yet to see on YT, and you laid out years of information and wisdom that many learn the hard way. Great series about your life. Thanks.

I like the stories LFG. Your my favorite angler on KZbin for sure. I got into fishing heavy this year and I can't wait for next season, I'm trying to get into local tournies and hopefully get a yak or aluminum boat as my first. Thank you for all of the fishing info you have taught me over the last 8 months. You have definitely improved my fishing skills. Hope one day I get to fish with you. Always an open invitation to come fish beautiful Cape Cod Massachusetts.

I fish for SFA and had a FLW event at lake Somerville where nobody could catch 5 keepers during pre fishing. Come tournament day my partner and I found a spot where we fished for 8 hours that was about a quarter mile long where we just went back and forth on all day. Ended up finishing 3rd and qualifying for the national championship this summer on Wheeler lake

Great story man. Gonna be heading to Southern Illinois at Carbondale and being a Saluki Basser. I fished my first BASS Open as a co-angler and missed money by 1 pound 10 ounces on the Red back in September. You're giving me something to look forward to for the next 4 years.

whoa we have very similar stories.. I went to a college for baseball my freshman year and was always into fishing. Once I learned there was college fishing and you can make money, i quit baseball as well, and now starting my sophomore year at Mizzou on the fishing team.. Now if only i can win the national championship my first...

In an extremely similar situation in my life right now Justin! Was a very serious baseball player all through high school, but a hand injury pretty much ended my senior season. While recovering I fell in love with bass fishing. I now attend a junior college about 30 minutes from my home town but have decided to give up baseball after this season and plan to transfer out to North Carolina State University, hopefully to join their bass fishing club and eventually tournament team. Also currently on the search for a nice, cheap boat to start out on. Hope to follow in your footsteps and make a living off of the awesome sport we all share! You're an inspiration man, best of luck to you and your channel in 2017.
