Bass Fishing in HIGH Winds! (Grinding it Out)

Today I'm going bass fishing in extremely windy conditions. I'm going to be tackling these tough conditions with a spinnerbait because of the shad that are being pushed up shallow and the bass are suspended.

Try a fire tiger or chartreuse rooster tail next time your on that lake. When nothing else works that's my go to lure for finding fish. It doesn't always catch the biggest or the most fish but it definitely gets the skunk out of the boat when your just grinding away. Don't know how well it will work in Texas but it catches everything with fins in Georgia and the Carolinas. I like 3/8 or bigger for bass and bowfin and 1/4 and smaller for panfish. Happy hunting!

Was on the Big G yesterday dealing with that kind of wind. I only got them to bite a 1/2 oz spinnerbait and a Frittside 9 crankbait. Fighting the wind got me to leave earlier than I normally would too.

Justin, Stephanie, and Emery, please forgive the length. We watch your channels on our TV so we have no way to comment on TV. We are age 73 and began watching your channel because we moved to Central Texas after 33 years in Lindale, TX, not far from Lake Fork. I fished Lake Fork as it was filling up. A relative was the bass fisherman and I just tagged along. We quickly became endeared to your family, especially little Emery. Stephanie looks so much like my wife when she was that age. I grew up the youngest of four boys with no sisters. We wanted a little girl when our two hairy legged ol' boys were born, so I envy your having a beautiful daughter who looks like exactly what we wanted. I grew up in Arkansas where my folks were in the chicken business, from hatching to growing. so, it's been very entertaining watching watching you guys raise chickens and the duck. We greatly miss Emery, but understand KZbin's protective attitude. In Federal Law enforcement I dealt a lot with online sexual predators, so I'm glad someone understands the danger enough to protect Emery from them. I worry about my grandchildren's casual use of the internet. I have a couple of complaints. You rarely say where you are fishing, so it's frustrating. Also, you don't post enough vlogs on Lake Life Family so we can at least get a glimpse of Emery's growth. I surmise that you live in the Argyle area, but I don't know enough about that area to know where. Like You, we love the treehouse, warts and all. We attended bluegrass music festival at a big domed church in Argyle many years ago, so that's our only experience with the area. My Dad worked on construction of the possum Kingdom dam not far from you. I once did a lot of home movie editing using iMovie, so I admire your programming and editing as mu as your fishing. Please post more LLF vlogs. They are so entertaining, and I really want to see you kill that bobcat. I grew up in the country where we hunted to eat because we were so dirt poor. I'm sorry, but all your hunting videos just look entirely too easy in comparison to the way I had to hunt. You should try stalking, tracking and hunting with open sights sometime in a free range area. It would be a challenge to vlog that sometime. Now I always found crankbaits worked best in similar conditions for me. I would have tried a white, chartreuse, blue, and a black and sliver crankbait. I grew up fishing lakes all over southeast Wisconsin and northeast Illinois. I use to say some lakes are ment for the soft plastics some for spinner baits, and some are just a crankbait heaven. Then there are the lakes that are so over fished that a little bitty minnows just do not stand a chance to survive. I was always a firm believer that you just try everything till you find something that works for you.
