Great explanation of the different lures Johnny, some neat selections. That Patchinko is extra special, very cool of you to part with one for some lucky subscriber. Also, your upcoming videos on fishing mindset sound like they will be a hit. A few days ago walking a local canal it was extra hot with no wind and the fish weren't cooperating like they usually do. Instead of just enjoying the session I gave myself a headache from trying too hard - which of course resolved quickly when a few peacocks decided to play.

What a great video, as are your many other videos. I appreciated this video the most because of the kind and generous giveaway opportunity, but also because I somehow forgot that the Whopper Plopper comes in the 60 size now. It was your previous video that introduced me to them, yet I never bought one. I typically throw a 110 (my all time favorite lure), but I also have a 75 as well. I’m curious though, I would throw it on 30lb braid, but what rod and reel is right? A spinning rod or baitcaster? I just recently got the Shimano Curado DC and a 7’0 Lews medium heavy rod. Is that too much? Thank you so much Jonnie. You are a great man. 🎣

Thank You Michael - Great questions: first I throw my whopper plopper 60 on a baitcaster and spinning tackle. Spinning tackle works the best, 7ft medium heavy rod - I also fishing my 60 on 30lb braid. The DC baitcaster is awesome and will work - I have one and the rod will work - keep the line tension a little tight so you do not get a backlash when through the lure.

That'd probably be a better size than the bigger ones for my waters. It probably sounds crazy but I have never fished a Whopper Plopper before, though I did just get my first one in the 90 size.
