Thanks for this video mate! Was down your way this weekend and just came across this looking for local tips over a morning coffee. We had the lures already so made our way down to what I thought was the mark, it was 😊 Second cast with SG weedless sandeel, my mate hooked a 60cm beauty right under his feet - his first bass ever!!! 🎉❤ it was feeding on baby sandeels along the shoreline - watched it follow the lure in. Had a few more schoolies and saw a couple more decent sized fish patrolling.

What’s the season for fishing from that part of Salcombe I thought you weren’t allowed there?

Not sure it has a season. Salcombe is classed as a nursery area for Bass so has restrictions and rules for boat fishing. Not sure if these apply to sure anglers apart from the normal take limits. 👍🎣 If in doubt might be worth a Google. Tight lines.

I live just down the road from that Beach I fillet the fish that we catch at sea there there’s so pretty big bass there and a few mullet :p

LureoftheOutdoors Thanks for reply. Where do you live? Also don't live near the sea but my son does so get to go regularly. It helps that he loves lure fishing also 😎. I have started frssh water lure fishing but to me it isnt the same.

I'm based in Gloucester so mainly Freshwater lure fishing but love to head to the coast at weekends (once the bass have moved back) Think the ultimate lure fishing is surface lures for Bass, just love the takes! 🎣

LureoftheOutdoors Ive only had a few on lures. I love the different species and the variety of marks. I have always loved bass fisbing even before I switched to lures. So catching them on lures is pretty cool.

Thanks for watching. It’s a major craft crostage. A 4 piece rod so good for travelling with. It’s the 7-21g version so great with the lighter bass lures.
