So I’ve got a bass guitar setting on my modeling amp, so I can make believe I’m a kick-a** bass guy. (Typically I play the beginning of Chloe Dancer or Wake Up - Mad Season.) Always fun to really rattle the walls. Once again like the change of pace with the bass line, I think Ament needs some love though.

Indeed! This is the Secret to Becoming a Decent Bassist: 1) Learn the chord roots (A G# B etc) 2) Play the roots & their 5ths 3) Do #2 rhythmically with the drums Bam! You’re decent! (seriously, though, this lesson on 5ths & where they’re located is simple but powerful)
