I got to play one of the original series Nathan East basses. My favorite 5 stringer I've ever played. The resonance of the bass even before plugging it in is phenomenal and with the right set up they play and feel so perfect!

I was thinking of buying the Fender American elite jazz bass because of the look of it and the passive and active system in it but...... I’ve heard Yamaha has good basses as well and I saw my favorite bass player have it and I was blown away by everything it could do. So I was thinking.. hmm maybe saving up a little more would’ve worth this bass so thank you for the video! Now I am looking forward on buying this bass! God bless you

Hi, i love your work with Bassmusicianmagazine a lot. Thank you for that very much. But, please, wouldn´t it be a great idea to make Instrumentreviews with a player who can actual play?

I can obviously hear that this sounds great. The black color looks amazing. However I'm concerned about the gloss finish, does it scratch easy or is it finger print magnet compared to the white one?
@BassMusicianMagazine5 жыл бұрын
The finish feels as hard as you might expect but I would imagine fingerprints might show... You can always wear Gloves like Etienne M'Bappe bassmusicianmagazine.com/2017/12/location-etienne-mbappe-revolution-hall/ Thanks for watching and for your input! I have the white one, the best 5 ever! Yamaha should sell the 6 NE for public 😁

You're not kidding when I decided to transition to the 5 string I tried out just about everything. But when I picked up the BBNE2 my god it just felt so natural. So while I still had to relearn in terms of having more more note options. Physically it just never felt like I had to adjust to the larger neck. It's become my primary go to bass. And I've not even gotten to the tonal possibilities. Hats off to Yamaha and Nathan so much thoughtful design on this bass.

Good aesthetic review , but please, with the distorted sound is useless, make sure the sound is good and not distorted.

Between this and the American Elite Jazz Bass V from Fender? Which one???

I would look at the kind of music you play (so the sound fits ) and how each bass feels in your hands to make your decision. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.

Frankly, and based of course, only on this demo, I am not very impressed. Especially as compared to the known sound I have been getting from my 1985 BB2000 for years.

Ideally, you should try any instrument you plan to play yourself to make sure it is right for you. Obviously, if you want to heat this bass in action at its best, just listen to Nathan play. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.

I just couldnt justify the 2500$,in my opinion,I'd rather have an Ibanez SR, seem like very similar basses
@BassMusicianMagazine5 жыл бұрын
I think you just have to try each to be able to tell which feels best for you. Also, working within your budget is very reasonable but this bass offers a lot for it's price point. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.

I've owned both the Prestige Ibanez SR and the Yamaha BBNE2 and the Yamaha blows away the Ibanez in terms of playability, tone, and ergonomics. Also, if you order from a place like Musicians Friend, they are VERY flexible on Yamaha pricing.

I've owned both the BBNE2 and the SR5005OL and I'll tell you that the Ibanez lasted about 3 days compared to the Yamaha. The BBNE2 does everything that any SR would do and then some. Haven't regretted getting rid of the Ibanez for a second. I am really disappointed in what Hashino Gakki has been putting out.

Brother, they are actually humbuckers on single size… I was surprised also. I checked.
