My Dad bought us a similar boat when i was 13! He drove me all over and would drop me at a farm pond and come pick me up hrs later. Great memories. Your videos are great to watch!

Crappie Master you have an awesome set up on that boat. I've got a Pelican 10E that I've tweaked out with a table in the middle and some other luxuries. I got some of my tips from watching Fish With Vance and a few others. I love watching you and Cam both and you do a great job passing along tips for the rest of us. I'll try to send you a picture of it. Keep the videos coming though. You're doing a great job and Thank You for your service.

I had one for 4 weeks. Had a 55# minnkota on it. I could cautiously stand and with motor going just lean a little to turn. I returned it tho. Had the 8’ one. I’m 6’3 400# and it wasn’t stable enough for me to turn and stand. Put outriggers on my canoe and the minnkota and am happy. Also bought an old skit boat and trailer with the $500 I had from returning the pond boat. May try again if I ever get down to 250lbs

The Jon boat and the pontoon are roughly the same weight. The differences are how much you can put on each boat, materials they are made from, and price. I have plenty of time to decide, though. Up north, the snow is still on the ground right now and I will have to wait until April or May to get both the boat and motor. More pennies to be saved to get better stuff. @@crappiemastertv3847

Nice fishing vessel well equipped do you use more than one battery and what are your thoughts on the twin troller boats
@crappiemastertv38476 жыл бұрын
willie may thanks for watching and commenting. When I only take my trolling motor out I always take two batteries. That twin troller looks sweet. I couldn’t absorb the price but would have loved to get one.

NIce setup. Great video. Question, What is the rating on that boat? With 2 people on it. Also, does it come in a larger size? Keep up the great work. FISH ON!
@crappiemastertv38476 жыл бұрын
Leslie Thomas thanks and thanks for watching and commenting. It has a 535lb weight limit. As far as I know 10’ is the largest size they have. I think you’ll have to go with a Jon boat if you want to get to 12-14’. Hope this helps

Been fishing out of kayaks for a few years now but been looking at getting a 2 man boat that I could stretch my legs a little more in and also haul a second person and one of these boats seems great. My only question is how well does the trolling motor push it in wind? Say I’m a good distance from the launch and the wind picks up, Will the trolling motor push it good enough to get me back?
@crappiemastertv38475 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. I hate to give this answer but it depends. The issue is often with the battery. I got tired of fighting it and purchased an outboard. See one of my other videos on the boat. With that said if I did it again I would get a 3.5hps
@crappiemastertv38475 жыл бұрын
Trolling motor is ok but the outboard is definitely much better
@GRANTKEEL5 жыл бұрын
Crappie Master TV thanks for the quick replies! That’s what I was thinking. Most of the places I’d fish I would probably be fine to get back to the launch but I was also hoping to also use it as a mode of transporting myself and my decoys during duck season. Currently I’ll paddle up to 2 miles in the marsh to get to my spot (then 2 miles back) and we’ve even used a canoe with a trolling motor and it did great making that trip (just not very stable). Figure as long as I monitor the battery charge or possibly bring a second battery one of these boats with a 55# thrust TM should do the job too.
@crappiemastertv38475 жыл бұрын
GRANT KEEL I always use two batteries even with the outboard

I’m looking at buying one of these small boats for the little holes in my area for my son and I to fish out of , I’m thinking I’d only run a trolling motor in ours but it seems to me you waste a lot of time setting up before getting in the water whereas if the boat was on a trailer with everything preloaded it would just be as simple as backing in and sliding off... for me with a 4x4 truck I can get in most the places I’m talking of going without an issue I don’t know I that’s an issue here or not
@crappiemastertv38475 жыл бұрын
Great boats. I live in a townhouse so no place for a trailer right now. It’s coming though. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@dustynnorton49435 жыл бұрын
I get that. Gotta improvise. I like the setup on it . Personally I have a big boat with gas motor for larger water I’d only be looking to use this in small creeks like I said I think I might of found myself one local used... $500 for a 10ft with 2 seats and a 45lb thrust

On that Mercury, did you think the shaft of 15” was a little short for the Prowler? I measured mine up and it showed I should get a long shaft. What are your thoughts?

Wish I had purchased a long shaft as well but it works and I got a great deal on it.

Man I just love your Video`s Crappie Master!I have a Pelican Bass Raider 8 that I converted into an 8e since they were no longer in production when I purchased mine.I Ran the wires thru the hull from front to back and since I only fish alone I just love for creek fishing. I also saw that video about the little dolly so I made one myself just like you did!lol I`m thinking of following your idea of the foam on the fishing rods but I don`t know the material you are using or where to get it. Could you advise?

Can I use this boat or similar like a Pelican Bass Raider in a lake not a pond. I am guessing there should not be a problem. What about using a 4hp outboard or is it too much for the boat?
@crappiemastertv38475 жыл бұрын
The only issue I think would be wakes from those with big boats. I think it’s rated for 5hp but need to confirm
