Another fascinating turn in GiGi Vibes is their rendition of Glen Cambell's Yesterday When I Was Young, but I LOVE her storytelling in Better Days and her change up in Fly Me to the Moon. BTW, your could try to catch her livestream and if you chat, they will respond on air many times to their participants. A lot of Tagalog but they interject English when needed in between their playing requests.

In their live stream sessions, many songs are requested, some of which they're not terribly familiar with. Those songs are not rehearsed of course. Watching her interpret a song while reading a line of lyrics ahead is a wonder. Gigi is also an Actress, Model and has her own cosmetics line. During the Covid lockdown, the band lived with Gigi and her Mom. They did everything together. Any mention of her going solo without them reduces her to tears...they are her brothers to be sure.

Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita in her channel (it’s not the whole song, her band was just playing around with the song) AND THEN, listen to the rehearsed and arranged (different arrangement from the original) live performance at wish bus. This is a very famous karaoke song (old song too) and their arrangement at wish bus is refreshing to hear and ofcourse it’s Gigi! 🙂

I'm so here for the Gigi & Peter love team (as we call it in the Philippines). Hey Peter, there's a Filipino expression, "gigil" (ghee-ghil) which loosely translates to a feeling you get when something is so cute/beautiful that you can't stand it. Isn't she amazing? She can do it all and man, there's no music like the 80s and 90s. And to also think, they livestream for hours on end 3 or 4 times a week. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 She was all up in Chaka Khan's ministry and that's the thing, this could have sounded "tinny" in the worst way possible but she did this song justice. If you listen to Chaka Khan, same thing thatbi get up there and "heady" but in a good way. O l a few artists can sound more pointed or more laser focused sound and still sound good. And shoutout to Gigi Vibes. They're so so so good.

What I love about Filipino singers (professional and not) is that their singing always comes down to the basic... meaning, it's not about the technicality of how they sing or how they can get to a note but it's about sounding good. Especially true when you see those random clips of filipinos singing, esp those who are just singing cuz it's fun and the culture. It's like second nature. They don't need to think about the chest voice, head voice, timber, etc... They just do it. The technicality often comes after they get the fame/professional experience (like in a band/a gig). At least this is my opinion as a filipina casual-shower only singer (meaning I only sound ok in the shower...LOL)

I can't sing, but I am a great audience and love to be entertained. I was intrigued cause my cousin is a professional Opera singer in Europe from Italy, Anna Bonitatibus. She's a serious operatic force! I was hoping to learn from you. I did. I didn't know much about about the craft, skill and science behind "the singing voice." It's been really interesting and fun to watch your videos! THEN you analyzed Dan Vasc @ Amazing Grace. It's my fav. He blew your mind and mine! Just Wow. I was hooked!!' I never would have heard him, except for your video. Wow. Then I found, your videos with the other bass singers - The Wellerman and the other duets, groups you produced. They were great and my husband enjoyed the " He-Men," singing!!! The fell into the rabbit hole @ Jeff Castalluci and his productions, Tommy Johanson, Gary Moore( never knew I liked R&B!!! He's great.
