it seems like the guitar is doubling the bass exactly one octave higher. try using this bass tab but on the guitar and let me know how it goes

Don't worry about chords just yet, learn various bass lines and start with easy stuff! You can slow down the video or even go note by note on the soundslice www.soundslice.com/slices/33bMc/ Have fun with songs you are comfortable with and practice and learn new things that are challenging to you once in a while!!
