Honestly if you want a good gigging bass amp...Buy a Peavey Combo 300 or a Peavey Combo 210TX (Blue lines),For the Combo 300 the first series with the two aluminium bands each side and the BW (Black Widow)logo at the bottom of the grill cloth and the silver (aluminium) cap in the center of the speaker, which has the legendary extra heavy duty Aluminium basket and carbon fiber inpregnated membrane. 210w and 300w with a 4ohm extension speaker...at 2, yes 2Ohoms total! First two knobs pull out "ultra high" and 8DB of upper mid boost on the second knob and other really usefull options, even bi-amping (which is VERY simple to use. This amp is strong and can do it all, as can the Peavey 210TX combo. I have many Peavey amps and for pub gigs, clubs & home practice these amps are the dogs bo**ocks! lol! Tip: the pickup is pretty microphonic (picks up excessive finger noise and fret buzz - sure you've noticed) and it's generally a good idea to either put flatwound strings or a new pickup on these if you're planning to use it for recording. But for €90 there's no complaining

Hello! I want to buy my first bass guitar. Deciding between this model and jb-75. As it will be my only instrument for quite some time is this a good(versatile) choice. I want to learn a variety of genres from black metal to funk plus I want to use some pedals in future (like fuzz overdrive reverb etc). So some versatility is my goal. At the same time I have pretty small arms and I heard that this guitar has chunky neck. Is this a factor I need to consider to? Can I here some thoughts from you guys?

See that is what happens when a guitar player picks up a bass. We start playing it instead of just keeping tempo. Lol great playing!
@PeterDad605 жыл бұрын
Hey, there was no need for your remark. Typically one instrument plays lead another rhythm. Should we have the mid/hi range guitar play the rhythm and allow the thick stringed bass to play lead? Sure, once in a while. But things are already worked out and bass is not typically lead instrument if you have a guitar in the same band. But yes you had to go ahead and take a cheap shot at bassists.
