Asking for help is not inherently worship without conditions. Lol. If it was, then asking your teacher for help or calling 911 would be major shirk, regardless of conditions or your beliefs or intentions, etc...

Your understanding of what constitutes shirk is false. If I ask an alive person to grant me something that is in his ability, this isn't shirk. If I ask a dead person to grant me something whilst they can't hear us, let alone grant us something that isn't in their ability, that is shirk.
