From the banjo and guitar blues to the fishermen on the river, Mali is the origin of the Mississippi Delta culture. I encourage all Africans-in-America to visit Mendenen (Mali/Senegambia/Guinee etc.) and not as tourist. But as children returning home, bearing the gifts of their experience and seeking the love of their mother.
